Love of God
As I walk the path of integration, I am noticing the many different expressions of life that exist.
Integration is allowing another group or person to be who they have been formed to be, and to exhibit their own expression of Christ, remembering that God owns all things and appoints each person in their place.
Integration does not remove difference; it allows each part of the body to stand in its place.
Integration is also different from belonging to a group. When a person becomes who they were ordained to be, their identity no longer comes from membership in a group, but from the life of Christ within them. They can stand among many expressions without needing to become one of them.
It simply allows them to recognise the place of others while remaining established in their own expression.
I have also noticed something while observing the elderly. Their greatest desire is to retain their independence. Yet many do not seem to have a present focus that draws them beyond their age and into their present purpose.
When purpose fades, life can become centred on preserving what remains rather than moving toward something new. Integration reminds us that purpose does not disappear with age; it simply takes on a different expression.
In a world that often does not love well, we must find our way back into the heart where love lives. The many boundaries we have built to protect ourselves need to be dismantled one at a time. We cannot fully dwell where the Lord is if these walls remain in our lives.
For it is only an open heart that can dwell fully in the life and love of God.
