DIGNITY

DIGNITY

Our dignity is something that can be robbed from us at the beginning of our life.

Unless we were raised in a healed family that confirmed our worth and value as a child of God, most of us did not receive that privilege.

Nor did our parents’ parents receive it to pass on.

Dignity is standing in who you are, while allowing others to stand in who they are. There is respect both ways.

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

Dignity carries rest.

There is no fight left. You no longer need to convince or defend who you are.

The boundaries have been untangled — in your history and in your present.

And in that place, dignity shows up naturally.

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten…” — Joel 2:25

We must walk through the battle to take back what was stolen.

Otherwise, you remain behind — never fully standing in who you were intended to be in Christ.
