WONDER of GOD

WONDER OF GOD

Over the years, I have wondered at the things of God, asking question after question. Then one day I saw that wonder itself is the well.

Wonder is the spring from which understanding flows. It does not answer every question with an explanation, but it draws us deeper into the heart of God, where our deepest questions find their answer in Him.

Knowledge gives understanding, but wonder keeps drawing us deeper into the One we are coming to know.

Wonder cannot be manufactured. It is the natural overflow of a heart captivated by the beauty of God. If we do not see His beauty, we will have little desire to seek more of Him. But when His beauty captures our heart, wonder becomes the well that continually draws us deeper into His presence.

Wonder is the well; knowledge is the water that flows from it.

In that sense, knowledge and wonder are not enemies. The well, the spring, the water, and the beauty of God all belong together. Together they bring unity to our understanding.

Knowledge can puff us up, but when we recognise that it flows from the well of wonder, pride loses its hold. We no longer boast in what we know, but in the One who continually reveals Himself.

The deeper the well of wonder, the purer the water of knowledge that flows from it. And the more we fall in love with the One who is Wonderful.

As we behold the beauty of God, the truths we have gathered over the years no longer remain separate. They begin to unite within us.

Knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and experience find their unity in Him, and our whole being is drawn into the presence of God.
