If a man dies, shall He live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait till my change comes (Job 14:14).
Following the resurrection, Jesus’ life was similar to his earlier life. On the beach, He and his friends ate fish and shared a meal. This scene is a repeat of his past behaviour. You will eat in the life to come.
Resurrection brings hope. Jesus says, ‘I am the resurrection of life’.
Death was transformed into victory! Jesus changed from mortal to immortal. All things made new! The solution to suffering is resurrection. In our quest for a new frontier, resurrection is at the forefront.
The early churches were cloaked in resurrection faith. With this belief and faith, they revolutionized the world. Without Christ’s resurrection, your preaching and beliefs are small fish in the big scheme of things. According to the Lord, His return is to find those with faith. Faith in whom or what? Faith in the resurrection, and the resurrection is Our Lord Jesus Christ. The answers are sometimes found by revisiting the starting point. The resurrection of Christ is the start and the finish of our faith. The ones with oil in their lamp hold resurrection faith as their oil, because they became the oil.
There are different beliefs about the Lord’s coming. There’s a distinction between desiring something and having faith in it. But a resurrection faith sets itself apart. Through this faith, mortality is overcome, resulting in immortality. We’re talking about our future selves. Immortal beings are the gateway to our future. According to Jesus, those who believe in Him will perform the same works He did, and even greater works (John 14:12-14).
Are you doing extraordinary things like bringing the dead back to life, curing blindness, and multiplying food and drink? My last experience with a deceased individual did not result in their resurrection. I asked God for an explanation regarding why He didn’t raise him? He asked me to do it to demonstrate faith in front of 200 believers. But also, the dead man’s wife wouldn’t have been able to walk the earth in rest unless someone made a serious attempt to raise him from the dead. To put it another way, the Lord might assign you an extraordinary task, and the outcome will be different than you expect. We’ve witnessed signs, wonders, and miracles, yet the resurrection power of Christ holds even more.
Resurrection power requires us to be free from any imperfections. It takes years to reduce sins to spots and blemishes. Significant matters require the extended periods like Job describes. Jesus, being sinless, walked in the power of resurrection. In contrast, we have dedicated our lives to conquering our fallen state to attain the glory of resurrection.
Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is over you (Isaiah 60:1).
