The Earth is the Lord’s
“The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” (Psalm 24:1)
The first ground mankind lost was in Eden. Adam was entrusted with the land — but Eve was deceived by the serpent, and Adam was hoodwinked by her hand. In that moment, we lost more than a garden:
We lost the land of our flesh.
We lost the land of our minds.
We lost the earth itself.
The serpent’s grip has never left. I believe that ancient deceiver is the same dark force Scripture names as Jezebel — the spirit of manipulation, control, seduction, and death. From that day until now, humanity has carried death in its very flesh because Jezebel has claimed the land.
I came face to face with this spirit — and stood my ground in the name of Jesus Christ. The victory was not mine, but His. I remembered this truth: the earth was never ours to begin with. It has always been the Lord’s.
The Lord wants His land back. And it will take a people who refuse compromise, who stand for the Kingdom of God, to take back what was stolen.
When Jezebel was overcome, I took repentance all the way back to Eden. I repented for Adam and Eve — for we all still carry that old wound,, in our flesh.
The Word asks: “How long will you tolerate Jezebel?” (Revelation 2:20).
The answer must be: No longer.
Our role as ambassadors of Christ is to reclaim what has been stolen and lay the spoils at the feet of the King. This is not about personal possession. This is about the Lord’s inheritance. He wants His land back — so that He can come and dwell with His people on earth as in heaven.
You may feel you are only at the starting gate on this journey of overcoming. But for those who will stand for righteousness, the time is now. The earth is the Lord’s — and He is taking it back.
Ask the Lord to uncover the Jezebel spirit in your life, so you may move beyond the darkness that blinds and step into the prize of His inheritance.
