Band-Aid World: Why Quick Fixes Can’t Heal a Fallen Planet
When someone recently asked for my perspective on the world’s problems, I laughed—not out of mockery, but because the question itself assumes they’re still solvable by human hands.
Picture it: a giant world ball, rolling through time, patched up with Band-Aids. From the very beginning, we’ve been trying to fix what’s broken. The world has been rolling out days since Adam and Eve, and throughout history, every civilization has convinced itself it knew how to solve its problems. So they covered up their issues with a quick-fix Band-Aid solution and moved on to the next generation. They patted each other on the back, congratulating themselves for solving everything, when all they were doing was adding another Band-Aid.
The problem is, these Band-Aids aren’t healing. They’re only masking deeper wounds. In its current state, the world system is beyond repair because of humanity’s fall. The ‘renewal of all things’ will not come from human ingenuity, power, or progress. It will require the resurrected power of our Lord.
While answers are readily available, they remain unused. People and organizations continue to believe they themselves are the answer. Pride—that’s the root of our problems. It’s the same pride that led to the fall in the first place, and it’s still infecting everything today. Humanity thinks it can fix a broken world with broken systems, but pride blinds us to the truth.
This is why the Lord has prepared a nameless multitude, hidden from worldly concerns, to join Him in bringing the real answer. Their identity isn’t wrapped up in titles, wealth, or status. No, in God, they’ve found their purpose. They are the ones who will manifest ‘His kingdom on earth, as in heaven.’
We are in the final days before Christ’s return. Throughout history, each generation believed Christ’s return would happen in their lifetime. But I believe it will happen in ours.
And it’s the lawless man—the son of perdition—who holds the clue to Christ’s second coming. This ungodly man, disguised as Christ’s representative, has arrived on the world stage. Many false Christs and false prophets will appear in those last days, and even God’s elect will be deceived. This man of lawlessness, with his false promises of peace and security, is the biggest clue.
Insanity isn’t just repeating the same action—it’s expecting salvation from the same broken system that caused the fall.
When people begin to say, “Peace and security,” destruction will come on them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape (1 Thessalonians 5:3). The signs are there for all to see, yet millions are still deceived by his lies.
The world is bankrupt. It’s insane to believe a fallen world can heal itself. Expecting different results while repeating the same actions is insanity. You cannot fix what is fundamentally broken within the current framework of a fallen world.
The answer to all of this is beyond Earth. It is not something humanity can create or manufacture. Good deeds, social programs, and endless reforms won’t reveal the solution. The answer will only be revealed upon Christ’s second coming, when we witness the resurrection of all things and the establishment of His Kingdom on earth.
But don’t expect a free ride to heaven. The second coming doesn’t offer that. “Thy Kingdom come”—this is the meaning of the second coming. “Thy Kingdom come” signifies the ‘renewal of all things.’ It marks not an end, but a new beginning.
A holy, fresh start. The old world will pass away, and the new will come. You can’t pour new wine into an old wineskin (Luke 5:37), and this world is the old wineskin.
The time has come for God to make all things new.
