The Horsemen are already Here
“I heard the hoofbeats — not distant, but here. The Spirit opened my eyes: the horsemen are already among us.
”For years, I thought the horsemen of Revelation were distant shadows, a vision reserved for the very end of man’s rule. Many still preach this way — “one day, they will come.” But the Spirit has opened my eyes: they are not just coming, they are already here, moving through the earth, testing us now.
Jeremiah once heard the Lord say:v“If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, how will you contend with horses?” (Jer. 12:5)The footmen are the small trials, the hidden wrestlings, the daily grind that wears us down. But the horses — they are another order. They trample nations, they divide, they starve, they bring shadows of death.
And they are riding already.
The White Horse — conquest and deception, false kings rising, nations grasping for crowns that do not belong to them.
The Red Horse — wars and divisions tearing peace from the earth, blood spilled on soil that still cries out.
The Black Horse — scarcity and famine, economies shaking, daily bread weighed and measured as if life itself could be bought.
The Pale Horse — death and fear, sickness stalking the streets, shadows pressing in on every side.
These are not distant events to wait for. They are the very pressures shaping our days. Every conflict, every lack, every shadow of fear — they are the hoofbeats of Revelation echoing in the present.
But here is the mystery: what wears others down is preparing those who endure. Each trial becomes training. Footmen first. Then horsemen. And finally, the procession of heaven itself.
For there is another White Horse. Not the first seal, but the last unveiling: “I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.” (Rev. 19:11)
This is the hope. That after running with horses, we will not be trampled — we will ride with Him.
You have run with the horses, through the trials and their testing. Now lift your eyes for the One who is Faithful and True. The White Horse of Revelation 19 is not shadow, but glory — the Rider who comes not to test, but to triumph. Watch for Him, for you are not only trained by the horsemen, you are called to ride with the King in His victory procession.
“May your ears discern the hoofbeats, and may your eyes be lifted to the Rider who comes in glory.”
