The latter rain is better than the former rain (Joel 2:23). I would prefer to read it as the latter reign is better than the former reign.
Our reign on Earth has involved a constant fight against our fallen nature. We have been in a defence position most of our days protecting ourselves from the onslaught from the enemy in our natural surroundings. Taking back the authority and what has been stolen from us through this battle ground in our mind takes years of dedication. The difficult times we’ve faced brought us closer to God, preparing us for a reign on earth with Him. It's only now that we can move positions into the place of God’s calling. In this position, we begin operating in mercy instead of defence. It’s the highest place of love you can come from. This is a rulership position.
A leader’s journey is marked by a deep faith in God and an unwavering preparedness for difficult times. To govern effectively, one must first achieve a state of divine peace in God’s presence. This isn’t a confession of a scripture, but rather a place you’ve been guided to by His merciful and gracious hand.
The government rests on His shoulders (Isaiah 9:6). A government is an individual who is just and acts in the interests of the people of God carrying the mantle of Christ. They understand the Lord’s heart and mind and they are kept near to His presence and know they are under His protection. If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31). These leaders carry the spirit of correction and are used by the Lord, like an iron rod, to break the vessels that need shattering. Or to fan the flame of a smoking flax. They have learnt to walk in mercy and have softened their hearts to be this merciful leader.
It’s a welcome change to be in a room where your voice is the voice that is heard. Sitting in that room, I heard my own voice filled with authority and wisdom captivating the atmosphere. The other voices in the room expressed opinions and judgements and nobody listened. You need to reclaim this heavenly authority. And that only happens when you conquer your own darkness.
Esther entered the King's chambers, knowing she could be killed for not having an invitation. Boldness is what is needed to be one of these leaders. She spoke to the King on behalf of her people. By ordering a fast, she spared her people from a certain death. The King’s preparation paved the way for her to become ruler over many precincts. Our King has prepared us!
Customary to humanity’s history, leader's name others as their leaders. But that’s more earthly than heavenly. There’s a huge distinction! My former purpose was human defined, but now it's divine.
You're aware the power comes from God, not yourself. Your training has prepared you to govern with fairness and justice, bringing about the Lord’s purpose to the earth, not your own purpose.
Unleash your inner greatness and become the person you were created to be. The king's most trusted person on earth.
For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities- all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together (Colossians 1:16-17).
