The Sixth Trumpet — A Global Army, A Third of Mankind Killed
(Revelation 9:13–21)
“Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand…” — Revelation 9:14,16
A warning is recorded in Revelation: four ancient beings, once restrained, are released from the Euphrates. The river is drying in places — and it is this very river where the four angels are bound. When they are released, destruction follows. A vast force is unleashed: an army of 200 million. John does not see them; he hears the number.
This is not a human army. It is something else. Tireless. Heartless. Likely digitally driven, autonomous, and global.
One-Third of Mankind Killed
“By these was a third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone…” — Revelation 9:18
Global population (2025): ~8.2 billion
One-third = over 2.7 billion lives
The Greek word apokteinō refers to physical death — this is no metaphor. Today, such widespread destruction is possible through digital warfare, biological agents, and weaponized infrastructure.
We’ve seen this kind of persecution before. In World War II, the Jewish people were targeted by a system that first dehumanized, then attempted to eliminate them. Today, a similar spirit is rising — but the target is different.
Roughly 2.6 billion people identify as Christian — almost exactly one-third of the world’s population.
As one political figure recently said:
“They’re not after me, they’re after you — I’m just in the way.”
Who is “you”? Those who do not bow to the beast — the systems of man.
“And it was commanded them that they should not hurt... but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.” — Revelation 9:4 (KJV)
The forehead speaks of allegiance — whose voice you follow. The hand speaks of action — whose will you carry out? Know who you serve: the King, or the beast.
“Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey — either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?” — Romans 6:16
“Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?... And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” — Matthew 7:22–23
The seal is not church attendance or religious works. It is holiness.Obedience. Oneness with God. Those who followed the Lord, not just a name or a religion.
The Nature of the Army
This force includes:
AI drones and autonomous weapons
Surveillance swarms — insect-sized or bird-sized drones, deployed by the millions
Designed to be smaller and faster each year, making 200 million a feasible global deployment
Integrated with 5G and 6G towers
Hunting through digital footprints — locating those who refuse the mark
But they don’t find everyone. God has marked some to be overlooked, just like the blood on the doorposts in Egypt.
“Touch not those who bear My mark.”
This army also includes:
Digital infrastructure turned into weapons
Banking, energy, food, and water systems hijacked for control
No human army can reach this scale — but machines can. And many are already in operation.
Welfare Suspended — The Mark Enforced
As systems collapse, dependence becomes weaponized. People will face a clear choice:
Receive the mark
Or be locked out
“That no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark…” — Revelation 13:17
This includes:
Banking
Food
Energy
Healthcare
Welfare
It’s not just about money — it’s about access to life within the new global system.
We already saw the test run during COVID — when freedoms, travel, businesses, and churches were shut down. The world complied. It worked.
Even ministers and business owners complied — some out of fear, others trusting the system.
Control the system. Control the people.
This moment may echo the words of Jesus in Matthew 25 — the separation of sheep and goats:
“And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left…Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed…” — Matthew 25:33, 41
Those who followed the system — dependent, compliant, marked — will be separated from those who followed the voice of the Shepherd, no matter the cost.
“If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God... and the smoke of their torment ascends up forever...” — Revelation 14:9–11 (KJV)
Still, No Repentance
“And the rest of the men which were not killed… repented not of the works of their hands…” — Revelation 9:20
Even after a third of humanity is gone, many will still not repent. They will cling to idols — gold, data, comfort, pride — and resist the living God.
